Routine HPV vaccine for boys

The American Academy of Pediatrics issued their new immunization schedule recommendations today. It makes sense to keep these regularly updated in response to changing threats (eg the recent whooping cough outbreaks) and new vaccines. A noticeable change to the recommendations was the statement that boys may now receive the human papillomavirus vaccine:

'HPV4 may be administered in a 3-dose series to males aged 9 through 18 years to reduce their likelihood of genital warts.'

Sure to generate plenty of commentary. Let's take a look at the CNN report, 116 comments and counting. Let the vaccine hating begin.
