Another movie with a Tuberculosis tie-in made the news today as it made the short list to get on the Oscar nominations for best foreign language film. "The Necessities of Life," by Montreal director Benoit Pilon is about an Inuit hunter, his family, and community during an outbreak of tuberculosis in the 1950s when the government gathered up more than 1,500 Inuit in a bid to eradicate a tuberculosis outbreak.
